At Bimaks International School, we believe that learning goes beyond the four walls of the classroom. Educational excursions are an important part of our teaching and learning process, as they provide students with practical exposure, deepen understanding, and create lasting learning experiences.
School excursions are carefully planned educational activities, organized and supervised by the school in line with the principal’s discretion. They offer immense educational value by allowing students to connect classroom knowledge with real-life applications.
Visit to NABUK Farm, Eleyoka.
The excursion team was warmly received by the Farm Manager of NABUK Farm, who extended great courtesy to both staff and students. The students were taken on a guided tour of the farm facilities, where they learned about palm oil production—from fresh palm fruit bunches to the final processed palm oil.
Students were exposed to the first line of production and observed how key equipment such as the palm fruit thresher, oil press, and plate-and-frame filter (CTC) are operated. Other aspects of farm activities were also explained, giving the students a comprehensive understanding of agricultural processing and modern farming practices.
Visit to TNT Radio Station, Ijagbo.
On the same day, the students visited TNT Radio Station, Ijagbo, one of the most successful private radio stations in Kwara State. The team was received and guided around the broadcasting facilities by the Duty Continuity Announcer on duty.
During the visit, students gained first-hand experience on how live programmes are aired, how recorded programmes are produced for later broadcast, and how news is generated and managed. The engineer on duty also took the students through the technical facilities that enable the station to function efficiently and stand out among its counterparts.
